I have not applied the letters to my 2016 Explorer, however I have applied the same letters to my 2014 - it would be very easy. I suggest that you apply some painter's tape (Green Tape) along the front edge of the hood. With that in place you can mark up the tape to reflect the location of where you want to place the letters on the hood. My suggestion would be to space the letters further apart than supplied on the adhesive strip. Peel off the letters one at a time and locate them above the marked up green tape - this will ensure that they are centered correctly and aligne with the shape/curvature of the hood.
