To be clear, these two versions are not for new construction (walls with no drywall). These are for retrofitting into an already drywalled wall. For new construction, the Model 425 and 350 favor upward direction of air flow, and the Models 4D and 3D favor a downward direction of airflow. The new Model 480 Dryerbox, also for new construction can be mounted in either direction (up or down) and can be used for dryers on a pedestal or not on a pedestal.
