Contract Bridge for New Bridge Players is a series of 50 lessons my wife, Christine, and I started teaching to beginning Social (or Party) Bridge Players over 10 years ago. To personalize the book and make it more interesting, I have included a number of bridge stories from my family. Some go back to when my parents were playing duplicate bridge in the 1930s - soon after Contract Bridge was invented. At that time, they had to create their own bidding system.
