Description

The Terminal fuzz by Earthquaker Devices is a blown out, busted and all around destructive fuzz device modeled after an old JAX fuzz. For those not in the know, the JAX fuzz is a re-branded Shin Ei Companion fuzz that is well loved for its buzzy sound. The Terminal takes this design three steps further by allowing control over the gain, fine tuning of the EQ and a massive adjustable volume boost.

2. Maxon Compact Series FA10 Fuzz Elements Air Guitar Distortion Effects Pedal

Feature

Fuzz engine designed to emulate vintage Shin-Ei / Univox Super Fuzz
Square Wave clipping with upper octave harmonic
Mechanical True Bypass Switching
Level and Expand controls
Dual position Tone switch (Fat & Scoop)

Description

The FA10 Fuzz Elements Air accurately recreates the distinctive square wave clipping and octave harmonics of one of historys most desirable dirt boxes, the Super Fuzz. The FA10s analog circuitry nails the Super Fuzzs crushing, compressed tone with surgical precision, and includes the two position Tone switch to toggle between flat and scooped EQ curves. These settings produce wildly different sounds, offering stark contrast to one another and effectively making the FA10 two pedals in one. A unique aspect of the FA10 is its ability to reproduce rhythm or lead lines with equal clarity, yet without changing settings on the pedal.

5. EarthQuaker Devices Terminal V2 Fuzz Effect Guitar Pedal with Voice, Treble, Fuzz and Level Controls with Power Supply and Guitar Polishing Cloth

Feature

Treble control adjusts the Terminals biting top end
Voice control adjusts midrange focus and overall frequency response
All-analog signal path
Destructive Fuzz Device
True bypass

Description

Congratulations on your new Terminal! Are you ready to take the stairs to the top of the tallest tower of fuzz? You are now. The Terminal is EarthQuaker's take on the elusive vintage JAX fuzz. These units are increasingly hard to come by, and are better known by most of us as the Shin-Ei Companion Fuzz. We love the Companion Fuzzs unique buzzy sound, but the lack of output volume and EQ controls really got us down. So, they've taken the Companion Fuzz design three steps further, adding "Voice" and "Treble" controls, along with twenty stories' worth of output volume to erect the Terminal. The "Voice" control adjusts the Terminal's midrange focus and overall frequency response. Clockwise you'll hear vertigo-inducing upper mids with an almost nasal, cocked-wah quality. Counter-clockwise you'll find enough low-mid thickness to make even your wildest Siamese Dreams come true. The "Treble" knob controls the Terminal's biting top end. This control is especially interactive with the "Voice" knob, so it's anything but "set and forget." At the low end of the dial, you'll find muted, subdued fuzz tones that sit back in the mix and play nice. Crank it up, and you'll hear searing blown-out buzzsaw treble sharp enough to cut glass. "Fuzz." That's why we're here today, isn't it? The Terminal's "Fuzz" control has a wide sweep for causing all sorts of mayhem. Keep the "Fuzz" low and you'll find "separated, "spitty garage tones", and plenty of "satisfaction," as the Terminal just wants to be your dog. Take the "Fuzz" all the way to the top floor, and you'll hear a thick, searing grind with a unique attack envelope and loads of sustain. Between these three interactive controls, you'll find a wide range of fuzz tones at your disposal. *New to the Terminal V2* Silent relay-based switching

True Bypass Switching
Uses 9-Volt battery or standard neg. center, 2.1mm power supply

Description

The Hammer is an amazing and versatile pedal. With tones that range from gnarly Texas rock distortion at one end of the spectrum, to squashed out, almost cut-off fuzz, this pedal has a ton of texture on tap! This pedal can go from awesome, huge stadium rock distortion tones, to vintage almost Shin Ei type fuzz tones. Our interactive control set makes the Hammer the versatile drive machine that it is. The Gain and Grunt control work in tandem with one another. As they are both increased, the pedal transitions from distortion to fuzz. When the Gain and Grunt controls are both set to higher positions, the Hammer gives up the goods in the "almost 8-bit" like territory, with note decay dropping into awesome distortion sounds! Tones that range from distortion to almost 8-bit type fuzz! Two controls that effect the gain structure of the pedal! Rock tones with amazing fuzz available!
