Some of which are so near exact, that should you have drank them then, and drank them now, the differences wouldn't be noticeable. Included in this loose tea sampler, are the following loose leaf teas: Bohea Black Tea- Bohea (boo-hee) originally came from the Fujian Province in China an area which is often claimed to be one of the first locations to export tea. Oolong (Bohea)- Oolong is a lightly oxidized tea with a gentle body and softer taste. In todays knowledge, Oolong is a type of tea that is not necessarily black nor green. Congou Black Tea- Congou was one of the truly high quality black teas to be exported out of China. Congou is actually pronounced as "kung fu" and translates to english as "made with great skill". Souchong- Otherwise know as Lapsang Souchong, this is the closest to original tea we have included in the sampler. We source this tea from the same regions and plantations as the East India Company did in 1773. Singlo- Singlo accounted for the second largest amount of tea destroyed that day. Singlo is a higher end green tea that is very much like the standard daily drinker green teas today. Hyson- Hyson was the other green tea included on this fateful shipment of tea to the colonies. The story of BOH tea
In 1929, J.A. Russell obtained a tract of freehold land 5,000 feet above sea level and transformed it into the first highland tea garden in Malaysia. He personally named this creation BOH. And with it began the history of BOH Plantations.
Today, BOH is a fully-integrated tea company. One of the few companies in the world which grows, processes, packs and markets its own premium brand of tea. BOH Plantations owns four tea gardens with a total planted area of 1,200 hectares: BOH, Fairlie and Sungei Palas in Cameron Highlands, and Bukit Cheeding in the lowland
